Product Update 403: New standard audit file introduced (Portuguese legislation)

The Standard Audit File for tax purposes (SAF-T) has been introduced in Portugal. A Standard Audit File is a file that records key business information in a specified common format for audit purposes. The use of electronic data processing systems by companies to record facts relating to assets has been increasing, namely for invoicing purposes.

In this product update, a new standard audit file for the Portuguese legislation has been introduced.

The audit file can be generated from the following new menu paths:

• Finance à Reports à Audit file
• Accountancy à Check à Audit file

• The new Audit file screen will contain information on the company, customer table, suppliers table, items table, tax table, general ledger table, general ledger entries, and sales documents. See the following screen:

• When the Export button is clicked, the XML file is exported and will reside at the path indicated at Export path under the Export file section.
• Once the export process is complete, a confirmation message will be displayed, as shown in the following sample message:

• If there is no path or folder defined at Export path, then the following message is displayed:
